Vinny Gallegos, CYMPO Director, with three of his key staff members DID YOU KNOW that 45,000 vehicles each day travel the SR-69 Corridor between Prescott and Dewey-Humboldt? This was one of many facts shared with our club by Vinny Gallegos and his capable staff, describing just one of the challenges facing the Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization (CYMPO), as they plan and prepare for the anticipated continuing growth and traffic demands over the next 25 years. Their stated Mission is the Safe and Efficient movement of people, goods and services. Their Vision is a regional one, to provide the necessary leadership, and planning to assure the transportation needs of this part of the state will continue to be met. In addition to planning for the essential roadways, CYMPO also has been responsible for developing a regional trails plan. Francesco Arezzo, Rotary International President, 2025-2026 The Board of Directors of Rotary International has just announcd their appointment of Dr. Francesco Arezzo to serve as our RI President, beginning July 1, Francesco, a seasoned and respected international Rotary leader, is an orthodontist, with a private practice in the town of Raguso, on the southern tip of Italy. In the event of the resignation by an incoming RI President, which has happened with Mário César Martins de Camargo from Brazil. the RI Board is required to select a successor from the pool of presidential candidates which had been considered the year in which Mario was selected.to serve as President. Mario had cited a combination of health, family and business reasons which had necessitated his resignation. The Board also announcd that Mario's key message, "Unite for Good," will be retained for the upcomng year. Interact Ambassadors Our 2025 Interact Ambassadors to Mexico team leaving Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on Friday Our happy and healthy Ambassadors Team after arriving in Mexico City, being greeting and hosted by Rotarian Mayra, the co-founder of ALEM. The team spent the night in Mexico City, before traveling on to Cuernavaca, where they will be based for the remander of their time in Mexico. Be yourself.
