Congratulations and thanks to these contributors to TRF!  Your contributions to TRF's Annual Fund enable us to sponsor Rotary Foundation grants, multiplying our sevice project dullars.

President Christy Manning presented a $125 check to Cathleen Cherry, Faculty Advisor to our Prescott High Interact.  This represented our club members' collective donation to the Interact Global Schisto Project.  Thanks to Don & Annette Schiller for their help in "bumping up" the collected amount.

In addition, by unanimous action of the Board of Directors, Cathleen Cherry was made an HonoraryMember of our Prescott-Sunup Rotary Club.  She was recognized for her years of extraordinary service as the Advisor to our PHS interact Club, and for her service as an Advisor to our Interact Ambassadors to Kenya team, and as the Lead Advisor last year to our Interact Ambassadors to Mexico team last year.  She was given a standing ovation by the club, reflecting how much we love and appreciate this great lady. Unfortunately for us, she is retiring at the end of this school year.  However, she was instrumental in recruiting her capable replacement, Melyssa Munday.

Being a Rotarian is more than just being a member of a Rotary Club.  We are an international organizatioon of Volunteers - "People of Action" who meet needs and get things done.

Being A Volunteer

It’s not for money, it’s not for fame
It’s not for any personal gain
It’s just for love of fellow man
It’s just to send a helping hand
It’s just to give a tithe of self
That’s something you can’t buy with wealth.

It’s not for the medals worn with pride
It’s for that feeling deep inside
It’s that reward down in your heart,
It’s that feeling that you’ve been a part
of helping others far and near
that makes you a Volunteer!

Just to clarify:
Teachers are not “off for the summer.”
They are in recovery.

A – Frostbite.

The world is not full of stupid people.
They’re just strategically-placed so that you will meet one every day.

I asked an old man, "Why, after all these years, do you still call your wife Darling, Honey, and Love?  What's the secret?"  He replied, "I forgot her name years ago and I'm too scared to ask her!"

When is this "Old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

A good way to prepare yourself for parenthood is to talk to rocks,
Because they have similar listening habits.

Q – Why do golfers always have an extra pair of socks?
A – In case they get a hole in one!

I stood waving to my neighbor for 10 minutes this morning before realizing she was cleaning her windows.

Don't stress about failing eyesight as you get older.  It's nature's way of protecting you from shock as you walk past the mirror.

Christy Manning
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered to help clean up the Veteran's Memorial in downtown. Your service is a powerful reminder of what Rotary stands for — Service Above Self. Your efforts not only honored our veterans but also uplifted our community, living out the very spirit of Rotary through action.

I truly wish I could have been there alongside you, but I was in Las Vegas supporting my son at his basketball tournament. Watching these young athletes compete — working as a team, showing respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship — reminded me so much of what we value in Rotary: teamwork, commitment, and making a positive impact together.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday!
