In 1989 Vietnam Veterans of Yavapai County erected the Veterans Memorial on the west side of the courthouse. Neil Logan a Vietnam veteran created the bronze statue. Tony Shaw, also a Vietnam veteran and Sunup Rotary member gave the original dedication speech in 1989.  The base of the monument is granite stone from the quarry the courthouse was built with in 1916.

In 2006 John Stewart of Sunup Rotary Community Service spoke to Yavapai County about improvements to All Vets Memorial. Sunup added night lights, sprinkler system, benches and handicapped access.  There was a re-dedication in April 2006 and Tony Shaw once again gave the key note speech.  Since that time, Sunup and Ken Lain from Watters Nursery have teamed up to refresh and restore the site each year. Each year plants are added and the irrigation system is maintained. This year the bronze veteran was waxed and polished.
